The Director of Regional Sales will lead and mentor the team of sales managers and associates to drive growth and efficiency across branches. This position will optimize resource allocation and collaborate with the VP of Sales to expand market reach. The Director will consistently exceed financial targets through strategic planning and execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Management Responsibilities:

- Establishes and maintains a collaborative and trusting relationship, supervises and directs work of direct report(s).
- Leads and motivates direct report(s) to accomplish performance and development goals.
- Performs leadership functions such as hiring/termination decisions, conducting performance reviews, and managing performance of direct report(s) which includes mentoring and skill development through positive reinforcement, constructive and timely feedback.

- Develop and execute growth strategies across footprints by utilizing market data and company benchmarking. Conduct quarterly reviews with market Sales Managers to ensure strategy is being executed.
- Develop and maintain executive relationships with both key and influential accounts throughout territory and participate in quarterly business review meetings with those customers.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement team to develop and monitor performance indicators around specialist utilization, sales quality, profitability, service and solution revenue, and market share.
- Collaborate with Category Management to develop sales strategies in alignment with corporate initiatives and cascade category strategies to branches.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders in the manufacturing and representative agent community.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Perform all assigned duties in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with Standard Electric policies.
- Participate in and follow all Standard Electric policies, guidelines, and procedures (safety, Anti-Harassment, Ethics, Code of Conduct, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum work experience requirements:
- Ten years’ progressive sales experience including management of sales associates.
- 10 years sales experience.
- 4 years of management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements and ability to manage financial performance.

General Requirements:
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Has flexibility for last-minute travel as needed.
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines and occasionally in the evening and on weekends.
Work Environment:
Role operates primarily in a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
