Scope of the Position
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in inventory accuracy, product receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping operations. This position is responsible for receiving incoming products, maintaining organized inventory, accurately picking and packing customer orders, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. The role supports operational excellence through attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming inventory, verify quantities against documentation, and properly put away products
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment in a timely manner
- Perform checking and verification of orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Measure, cut, and prepare wire and cable products according to customer specifications
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting and regular stock checks
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors safely
- Ensure inventory is stored in designated locations and remains well-organized
- Prepare shipments and ensure proper loading of delivery vehicles
- Handle shipping and receiving paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all internal procedures, safety standards, and housekeeping requirements
- Perform additional warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Ontario Class G drivers license and clean drivers extract
- Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of a broad spectrum of electrical products and applications is not required but considered an asset
