Warehouse Driver
The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of products to customers and Electrozad branch locations. This includes loading and unloading shipments, verifying documentation, and ensuring compliance with all Federal and Provincial Highway Traffic Laws. The Driver may also be required to handle inter-branch transfers and occasional cross-border deliveries to U.S. customers, ensuring proper customs documentation and adherence to import/export regulations. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Job Duties:

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers and branch locations.

Prepare and verify orders for delivery, ensuring accurate documentation and proper loading of vehicles.

Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle safety standards.
-
Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies during deliveries.
-
Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries.
-
Assist with loading and unloading materials at customer sites when required.
-
Complete all required delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery.
-
Record information on deliveries, mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.

Handle inter-branch transfers of inventory between Electrozad locations.
-
Manage cross-border deliveries when required, ensuring proper customs paperwork and compliance with import/export regulations.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage promptly.

Support warehouse operations as needed, including general housekeeping duties.

Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Other duties as required by the organization.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
-
Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
-
Valid Canadian passport required. Ability to drive cross-border routes as needed. FAST Pass or other cross-border documentation considered an asset.

Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely (up to 50 lbs).
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Knowledge of filling out waybills, bills of lading, and customs documentation for cross-border shipments is considered an asset.

Forklift certification preferred.
-
Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail.

Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
-
Knowledge of electrical products is an asset but not required.
